Forested Foods sources commodities from farmers in ancient forests, and turns them into premium products for international markets. They buy produce from farmers who practice conservation-based techniques, process and transport the produce, and then sell it to consumers and corporations that will pay a premium for traceable, quality products. They've started with honey and have plans for fruits, spices, and more.

Ariana is an American-born, Hong Kong-raised social entrepreneur who has called Ethiopia home for years. Before founding Forested Foods, Ariana worked in management consulting and then joined Technoserve to use her expertise to build supply chains and market systems that work better for the poor. A serial entrepreneur, Ariana's earlier ventures include an indoor, vertical farm in Hong Kong.
