John-O studied and published extensively on carbon and forests at Stanford. He's led big initiatives to save forests by monetizing carbon and human benefits, including Tropical Forest Group, WWF's Climate & Forest Program, the Climate, Community and Biodiversity Alliance, and the Coalition for Rainforest Nations.
