Africa Health Placements places doctors in the facilities that need them most, and equips them with the skills to leave those facilities working much better than they found them. After a successful career in finance, Saul decided to sail a rickety boat down the East African coast. In his travels, he noted many clinics devoid of doctors. It turns out that while Africa has 20% of the world’s people, it has only has 2% of the world's doctors – and those are mostly clustered in the places that need them least. AHP recruits doctors from prosperous countries and places them where they serve patients and systematically improve clinics function.
