To get ahead, farmers need to get quality inputs, effective training, and access to markets. But most rely on informal supply chains and middlemen for these services, leading to poor and uneven outcomes—keeping farmers in debt and poverty.
Alloysius was raised on a small farm in Ghana and grew up to become a software developer. In 2013 he launched Farmerline, a platform to help farmers leverage technology and information to become much more successful. Alloysius has been selected as one of Forbes Africa 30 under 30 winners, an Echoing Green Fellow, and a laureate of the King Baudoin African Development Prize. He earned a Bsc in Natural Resource Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
