How It Works
Farmerline organizes farmers through a network of agricultural dealers, finances quality inputs, provides training and support through digital products, and buys crops to aggregate and sell to international buyers. The key to successful bundling of all of these is a proprietary software platform, MergData, that allows them to efficiently enroll, train, and have ongoing communication with farmers. It also allows international commodity companies to see transparent supply chain data, rewarding farmers for best environmental practices.

Why We're In
Farmerline's work to digitize the agricultural supply chain can make things faster, simpler, and cheaper for small farmers. They built an impressive relationship with local agro-dealers, allowing them to scale considerably faster than their peers. A new AI-powered advisory product could increase the impact of their helpline, and they've been successful in raising finance to extend more services and inputs to farmers. International price fluctuations haven't helped, but they've been able to weather the turmoil so far to keep up momentum.
