How It Works
Integrate Health is part of the growing movement to create "professionalized CHWs”—community health workers (CHWs) who are paid, supervised, skilled, and well-supplied. Their distinct model tightly integrates CHWs with existing government health services, like clinics and hospitals.
The Dream
Every rural community has fully professionalized CHWs integrated into strong, government-run primary care systems, drastically reducing preventable deaths of children and mothers.
Why We're In
Integrate Health has built one of the strongest proof points for professionalized CHWs in West Africa. Rigorous research shows their programs reduce the chance that a kid under five dies by 30%. They're building momentum, with a recent expansion in Guinea. The main challenge ahead is government capacity for full handover, and getting the model cheap enough for governments to buy in.
