Get African kids to grade-level.
Rising identifies and manages underperforming public schools and gets them to a high standard through a guided curriculum, coaching, and tech. Their lighter touch model also allows for more government ownership of delivery.
African governments in private-public partnerships with education businesses that deliver high quality education.
Rising’s a rare case of a for-profit education business that has rigorous evidence of impact in public education. Following excellent results in Liberia, they’ve most recently demonstrated compelling results through a more scalable, public-private partnership in Rwanda. There’s now real interest from the Rwandan government to pay for and scale an affordable model beyond the pilot, which we hope can become an exemplar for governments. We’re also excited by the potential for Rising to achieve even stronger results by bringing more tech into the classroom (e.g., their high-performing math chatbot "Rori") as part of their menu of offerings to public schools.
