Happier and effective learners.
Labhya has introduced mindfulness as a daily, standalone class in Indian public schools. Kids get stories and activities that help them be present, cope with challenges, and connect with others. Early evidence shows that kids are less anxious, more engaged, and doing better in class—in short, they’re happier.
All public primary school students in India attend mindfulness classes and go onto thrive both academically and socially.
Labhya has carved out a unique space: rigorously tested well-being education that's embedded in government schools at scale. Their focus on fidelity in implementation, teacher training, and evidence-building is impressive. They’re working on simplifying their model for government to effectively deliver it, and their obsession with iteration—potentially aided by tech—gives us confidence they’ll get there. If they succeed, this could redefine how public education systems globally address children’s well-being.
