Safe drinking water is a human right, but reaching the last mile is tough. Reaching the very last last mile where people rely on surface water for drinking is even tougher, and no one is doing it at scale.

Provide safe drinking water for last mile communities.
Saha runs rural water utilities that bring safe, affordable water to last-mile customers. They train local operators to source, treat, and sell water at prices low enough to encourage use. Their model works for both surface water and groundwater, enabling operators to cover operations and maintenance while still earning a profit.
There is safe, affordable, and conveninet water available in remote rural areas. Families pay for water usage, while government builds the systems, and private operators keep them running under regulated utility contracts.
Saha’s water utility model taps into government’s mandate to deliver safe water to remote communities. It can get a lot more water to families at a much lower cost and can be integrated into government water operations. If Saha serves customers sustainably with government support, it can open the market to more utility players.
