Safe drinking water is a human right, but reaching the last mile is tough. Reaching the very last last mile where people rely on surface water for drinking is even tougher, and no one is doing it at scale.
Kate, a former MIT aerospace engineer, became obsessed with the problem of getting clean water to people in remote villages. She soon realized that the answer was not whiz-bang technology, but a simple, foolproof system of distribution. Her persistence paid off: 75% of the homes in a Saha village have clean water covering 50,000+ people a day.
