The Mission

Get all kids in India fully vaccinated.

How It Works

Every community has its “influencers”— the ones in the know about everyone and everything — who are crucial information nodes. Suvita finds and recruits these influencers through phone interviews. They then send important vaccination information and reminders to parents via text to ensure kids get their complete vaccinations on time.

Suvita’s influencer approach is a core part of successful government vaccination campaigns across India.

Why We're In

It's early, but they've made impressive strides. This problem affects sizable communities in every state in India, especially the marginalized. They have a simple, cheap solution that could scale quickly. The solution is based on a study that showed a 22-percentage-point increase in full vaccination rates when using influencers. While they need to validate that their version of the model gets the same outcomes, we're optimistic they'll be able to replicate the study results.
