They identify critical landscapes in Africa, find high-potential local conservation organizations, then boost their performance by sharepening their strategy and operations. They also evangelize for more funding to go directly to the organizations on the frontlines and have created a pooled fund to to show how it's done.

Maliasili takes a long-term, partnership approach to supporting local community-led conservation organizations. It’s the best we’ve seen, and they show no signs of slowing down. They’re also at the forefront of a paradigm-shifting movement to get money to flow directly to local organizations via the Maliasili Conservation Fund and have been gaining real traction.
