How It Works
Conserve works with communities to halt landscape loss and restore land for the benefit of people and nature. They find high-potential concessions and conservancies, set up community tenure and governance, co-develop a management plan, and set up revenue flows into the community by stacking a variety of nature-based financing solutions—things like carbon credits, eco-tourism, biodiversity credits. Once landscapes are fully operational, they hand over all responsibility to the community.

Conservation NGOs support community-led conservation across a portfolio of connected, resilient landscapes in Africa with revenue flowing to each of these landscapes from market-based nature payments.
Why We're In
Conserve Global has the right DNA for impact at scale. They’ve made progress at lightning speed to match the urgency of the problem—in just one year, they grew their footprint 5X. They're testing elements of their model across seven key landscapes covering ~11K km2 under improved management. They’ve struck up partnerships with the right organizations to secure land tenure and generate revenue from nature-based payments (like carbon credits) to get value to communities quickly. They've demonstrated their strategic chops and innovative problem-solving time and again when they've encountered obstacles. At its core, this is a modern take on agreements to deliver economic benefits for stewardship.
