High quality healthcare for all.
Amani is one of a number of elite organizations driving a revolution in primary health care: transforming Community Health Workers (CHWs) into bona fide health professionals. Amani’s specialty is working in settings too challenging for anyone else. Amani built the first primary health system on an island in the DRC and has expanded onto the mainland.
The world’s toughest places get high-quality primary care through government-backed CHWS.
Mostly because of Jacques Sebisaho, the founder. He is an MD from the island, and managed to build an excellent hospital while war was raging on the mainland. He then took on primary care by synthesizing the best of all the other Mulago CHW models and tailoring his model to DRC’s context. He managed to cover the island’s population of 400K people in a remarkably short time. If it’s working in the DRC, it can work anywhere.
This is just a snapshot of what we know about the organization. If you're an investor or funder that might send some serious dough their way, we're always delighted to share more. Reach out and we'll connect you with the right person on our team.
