Peepul’s “high-engagement teaching” model puts students first, creating classrooms where learning thrives. They train teachers in simple, intuitive practices that boost outcomes, and they support principals and education officials to embed a new culture throughout the system.

Indian government schools use "high-engagement teaching" at all levels, and students reach grade level in basic reading, writing, and maths.
Why We're In
Peepul reached over 2.5M students with their direct solution in 2024. In early studies, 43% more kids in Peepul-run schools reach grade-level proficiency compared to similar government schools without Peepul. Because it represents only a shift of resources, the marginal cost per student is zero, which is…remarkable. They had big wins in Madhya Pradesh, where the state government saw the promise of their model and built it into a multi-billion-dollar education reform plan.
